We are Geelong, the greatest team of all.

Very happy today, mainly because Geelong won the 2007 AFL Grand Final. In its typical style all throughout the season, Geelong ran over Port Adelaide by a massive 119 points. It was the biggest winning margin in the history of AFL Grand Final. It ended a 44 years drought for the Cats, and I am happy.

From a neutral spectator point of view, it was probably a boring match. The Cats just kicked goal after goal after goal without any real challenge. On the other hand, for the Cats supporters (like me), it doesn't get better than this.

I still remembered early in the year, TAB sportbet had Mark Thompson (the Geelong coach) the favourite to be the first one this season to get the sack. Not anymore. Thompson will lead Geelong next year, that's almost certain.

Geelong has pretty much clean sweep everything this year, having won the minor premiership, the Rising Star award, the Brownlow medal, the VFL, the Norm Smith medal and now the Grand Final. The best they have ever had. I hope I'll see more of these in the years to come.

Go the Cats.
