We are Geelong, the greatest team of all.

Very happy today, mainly because Geelong won the 2007 AFL Grand Final. In its typical style all throughout the season, Geelong ran over Port Adelaide by a massive 119 points. It was the biggest winning margin in the history of AFL Grand Final. It ended a 44 years drought for the Cats, and I am happy.

From a neutral spectator point of view, it was probably a boring match. The Cats just kicked goal after goal after goal without any real challenge. On the other hand, for the Cats supporters (like me), it doesn't get better than this.

I still remembered early in the year, TAB sportbet had Mark Thompson (the Geelong coach) the favourite to be the first one this season to get the sack. Not anymore. Thompson will lead Geelong next year, that's almost certain.

Geelong has pretty much clean sweep everything this year, having won the minor premiership, the Rising Star award, the Brownlow medal, the VFL, the Norm Smith medal and now the Grand Final. The best they have ever had. I hope I'll see more of these in the years to come.

Go the Cats.

Football Grand Final Week

Australian Football League (AFL) grand final tomorrow. For those who don't know, just treat it as the Super Bowl of Australia.

Anyway, I'm Geelong supporter, but haven't really follow football because my team hasn't really perform well over the last couple of years. This year it's different. They are in the grand final this year, and I really hope they would do well to kick the shit out of Port Adelaide, the other team.

Had a dream about Geelong losing to Fremantle 92 to 98. If dream never reflects reality, then Geelong is going to win tomorrow.

Watched the woman's football (soccer, for the less gifted people) World Cup match between Australia and Brazil last week. That game was full of shit. The referee is a Nazi bitch who knows nothing about football. Australia has so much a chance as to win the game if it wasn't for that stupid bitch.

Last night's match between Brazil and US wasn't as bad, but as the Brazilians are just as bad. As soon as the US has a player sent off, the Brazilian, whoever the hell his her name is, celebrated. I mean, what the fuck are you celebrating? The other team having one less player? Sportsmanship? What's that?

Mind you, I don't support neither teams, but to see a player celebrating the other team's misfortune is utterly disgusting. Hope Germany beat the shit out of you, and that's coming from someone who like the Brazil men football team (though I'm less so nowadays since Rivaldo's acting in the 2002 World Cup).

Unexpected outings

Went out with a friend to a shopping centre for lunch today before heading out to play badminton later in the afternoon. What we found at the shopping centre was a bit of a surprise. There was apparently the Chinese Moon Festival being held at an area just outside the shopping centre. It wasn't a very big event. And most of them are food stalls, just like every other Chinese festival held there.

We went there for lunch, but ended up with nothing more than a cup of bubble tea and some bite size food. Next stop, badminton.

Badminton wasn't too bad, actually. Released how much I still suck at it. At least I don't have to run like crazy like in tennis. But not enough workout, as it turned out, because we got to head out to the city for movie only after about half and hour.

Watch Ratatouille, the next Pixar production about a rat wanting to be a chef. I wasn't expecting much from the movie, but found it enjoyable in the end. It was funny, and original in some ways.

Last on today's event was the dinner at a place called Bokchoy Tang. Truth be told, the place is classy to say the least, but the food is mostly suited to the western taste Chinese food. The quality of the dishes are actually quite nice, but the servings size is another matter. It was small. I know Japanese dishes are small, but these are smaller.... and more expensive. I guess it's nice to try out everything, and I emphasize try. Because I know I'll never come to this place ever again.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Meet a bunch of interesting religious people who worship not Gods, but principals of multiple religions at a friend's place, which doubles as the gathering place for these people.

"Interesting" is probably not the right word, but definitely friendly. However, as friendly as they are, I have no intention to forgo what I have believed in for pretty much my entire life. I have my freedom to follow a religion that I choose, and so do they, but there is no way they can 'convert' me into one of their followers.

Besides, I have no intention to 'defect' to another religion any time soon.

Day dreaming

For some reason, this week has been quite a mental mess. Maybe it's the thoughts of thinking about the same thing over and over again that's draining all the energies from me. Sleeping late is not helping either.

I am a person with many thoughts bouncing around inside my head all at once. There is a lot of 'what if's....' in my thoughts. I can mentally picture a scenario of just about everything over and over again, each time with a different result.

The better word for it is 'day dreaming'.

Pre bowled for bowling today. Crap, crap score. Only beat my average once (out of the three games I played). Just couldn't get the ball to land where I wanted it. The lane was dry as well, that made the ball hook sooner than usual, and with my slow ball, it just hooked too much too soon. Never seemed to hit the head pin.

Will have to wait for the rest of the team to bowl tomorrow to see whether I sit out the next week or not. If I do sit out the week, it kind of plays in my hand, 'cause I do want to plan something. If I don't, I guess it'll have to make do on Sunday. Who knows.

Another big week next week.
